We learned about Spain.
La Tomatina- they do tomato fights. The tomatoes arrive on a truck. People have to squash the tomatoes before they throw them. People swim in the tomatoes. If is was there I would wear goggles.
They run with the bulls. I want to go there. It is very dangerous because people get bucked. I did a play with Mattea. I made a bull mask with paper and cardboard. I wore the mask and chased Mattea. Mattea was dressed in white.
I made a flag.
Gymnastics was so so so so so so so so so so fun.
I got to go under the pit because we were playing hide and seek and were allowed to go under. I almost won.
When you go to a different country you need a passport, I made a passport.
The first county we visited was Italy. Mum said Italy looks like a high heeled boot but I keep saying it looks like an old woman's shoe.
The Colosseum is in Rome, I looked at lots of pictures of it. People used to get killed there and some people had to fight lions.
We learnt about Venice. It is surrounded by water and you can ride a gondola.
My fave thing this week was looking at Ancient Rome and reading about the history of toilets. In London they used to tip the poo out of the window and onto the street below, and it could hit people!
We did maths and then literacy. Literacy was stupid because I was very tired and I couldn't think.
We did Music and mum taught me how to play piano. I had to hold my hands like they were tables, and I played some pieces
Cooking was fun. We made muffins, banana muffins. I got to cook them. They took 15 minutes to cook, I watched the clock and got them out of the oven. I ate one just then, they were yummy, they taste like normal ones!
I like homeschooling cos I sometimes get to go to Cafe's.
Homeschooling has been very good so far.
At lunch times I play on my skateboard.
I have to work very well so I can go fishing after school, and go to cafes when Dad is home.
Maths has been easy so far, I understand it better than every other time I have done it at school.
Today we made a treasure map after reading the book 'Angie the Brave'. I drew it and then painted it sorta with a teabag. We let it dry and then we scrunched it up. Mum burnt the edges, she let me do one corner.
It has been a great year. The end.
