Week 8

I went to Mt Wellington and climbed some big rocks. It was really fun. I saw lots of lizards and we took lots of photos.

Auntie Stasia surprised us by coming back to Australia and she gave us presents. She gave us a puzzle. It was a map of Sri Lanka. It was really fun to do. 

The word puzzle that we did was fun. You got a picture and then you had to find the letters that spelt the picture and put them together.

I had to write adjectives about me. It was hard. I said that I was famous and silly.

It was a fun week.

WEEK 7

I studied Sri Lanka this week.
I interviewed Liv and Bom (tom) about Sri Lankan things.

I made a Sri Lankan elephant. A real one that goes BRRRRRRRR and sprays water all over your face. Only joking.. no im not joking.

I got cardboard and an elephant picture. Mum traced the elephant onto the cardboard. I then put glue over the elephant lines and waited for it to dry. The we put tinfoil on the cardboard and rubbed it and the elephant came through. I then painted it.

Ive been reading really well. I went to a cafe because I read well.

Why did the chicken cross the road?
To see the man laying bricks.

Week 6

We went to Launceston and made wine. 

We picked lots of grapes, like a thousand million. 

We squashed them and made wine. 

The hard bit was trying to get the gapes off the storks. We got pink fingers and it stinged my hands. There were lots of bugs on my hand too. There were spiders in the grapes, and lots of other creatures.

We squashed the grapes with a press, the juice came out into a bucket. The juice was then put in the barrel.  Also you needed to get 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water. You boil it and dissolve the sugar, let it cool a bit and put it in the grape juice. 

COOKING WITH DADDY

We made spice cake. I read the recipe, Dad made me, I wanted him to read it.  I put the ingredients in a bowl and put it in the oven. It tasted yummy.

Week 5

I went to gymnastics this week. I dont like the beam, it's stupid. I like going into the pit and going under. Gymnastics makes me feel happy and good.

I did some artwork. We looked at Picasso because he was from Spain. He moved to Paris. His style of art is weird. Picasso did cubism and collage artwork. We did a cubism picture today. It was very fun. It was very hard to draw. We used water paint, I think other paint would have been better for it.

In Christian Studies we are making a love tree. I got some twigs and sticks and put them in a vase. I am going to be putting love hearts on it everyday. The first one I had to put on is Love is Patient. To be patient I have to wait.

Reading is very frustrating and maths is very difficult and literacy is stupid. Mum thinks Im getting better at reading.
